Terms of Service

Sheena Burton’s Tailor Shop, Inc.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern all services provided by Sheena Burton’s Tailor Shop, Inc. (“SBTS,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By booking an appointment or engaging our services, you (“Client”) agree to the following terms.

1. Services

SBTS provides bespoke garment design, alterations, restorations, and related couture services. Each service is executed with precision and care, tailored to the Client’s individual specifications and needs.

2. Appointments & Fittings

All services are conducted by appointment. Clients are expected to attend fittings punctually and prepared with the appropriate garments, undergarments, and shoes.

Timely attendance is essential to maintaining production schedules. Missed or rescheduled appointments may impact completion timelines and may incur additional fees.

3. Deposits & Payments

A non-refundable deposit, typically 50% of the quoted service, is required to initiate work.

The remaining balance is due at the final fitting or prior to garment release. All payments are final. SBTS does not offer refunds, exchanges, or credits under any circumstances.

4. Custom Design & Alterations

All custom designs and alterations are based on the Client’s measurements and specifications at the time of fitting.

Changes requested after the initial consultation or during the process may result in additional costs and timeline adjustments. Certain modifications may be limited by garment structure or fabric integrity.

SBTS reserves full discretion over construction methods to ensure the highest standard of craftsmanship.

5. Measurements & Fit

Garments are tailored according to measurements taken during fittings. SBTS is not responsible for fit discrepancies resulting from weight fluctuation, pregnancy, medical procedures, or changes in undergarments or footwear.

Clients are encouraged to maintain consistency throughout the fitting process.

6. Final Fitting & Acceptance

A final fitting is conducted to confirm that the garment meets agreed specifications and fit.

Upon approval at the final fitting and/or collection, the garment is deemed complete, satisfactory, and accepted. Any additional modifications requested thereafter will be treated as new services and may incur additional charges.

7. Garment Care & Responsibility

Once a garment leaves the possession of SBTS, all responsibility transfers to the Client.

SBTS is not liable for damage, wear, staining, structural issues, or alterations that occur after pickup, including those caused during wear, transport, or storage.

8. Timelines

All completion timelines are estimates and may be subject to change based on the scope of work, client responsiveness, and external factors.

SBTS is not responsible for delays caused by missed appointments, late approvals, or requested changes.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SBTS shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

In all cases, liability shall not exceed the total amount paid for the services rendered.

10. Right of Refusal

SBTS reserves the right to refuse service at its sole discretion at any time.

11. Intellectual Property & Brand Representation

All designs, techniques, and creative elements developed by SBTS remain the intellectual property of the brand and may not be reproduced without written consent.

12. Media & Publicity

SBTS reserves the right to share images of completed garments for portfolio and promotional purposes.

Such content may be published only after the Client’s wedding or event has taken place and may include professional images in which the garment is worn.

Clients who prefer privacy must submit a written request prior to the commencement of services.

13. Acceptance of Terms

By booking an appointment or engaging services with SBTS, the Client acknowledges and agrees to these Terms in full.
